Although the store is nicely decorated and furnished, they have been unable to transform to a destination in the minds of their customers. At the same time, they wanted to market their store as a brand and grow their customer base. They considered adding free WI-FI service at the store, but the national ISP they were using had no cost-effective solutions and there was no way to differentiate from the large chains that already offered free WI-FI. Additionally, they were concerned that by offering free WI-FI their network would be vulnerable to attack by intruders who could steal their corporate or employee financial information.
